worshipper VS complainer

Today, i would like to talk about the sermon that was being said last sun...

There are two kinds of people on the earth...
1) worshipper
2) complainer

What is considered as being a worshipper?
It is when even in the worst circumstances, you will turn your eyes upon God and look into his way, not on yourself..
It is when you thank God for everything and in whatever situation that you face...
An example is that when God's people are trapped within the cell like the inner dungeons where all the human wastes are, just because they did good, as said in the bible. Instead of complaining and acting out the way that any other normal human beings will, they sing praises, worship God and thank him!
Don't you think it is amazing?

How about a complainer?
it is when even if you are in the best situations, you can always find fault and something bad to complain about...
the pastor gave an example..
He say that when he got his O lvl results, he got a total of 12 points after the minus...
He was real happy and thank God for it!
All his other friends including all the girls got like 6 and 7 points before the minus...
They plan to go to all the top schools in Singapore...
There was one particular friend, he had 8 points (which is very good already!).
However, he complained "ai ya! how come i get an A2 for chemistry! if not i can get 7 points ler!"

After he said this, i had a thought in my mind...
i recalled about the times when i went overseas with my classmates...
even though we stayed in like a not so bad hotel, they still complained, just because it is not up to their expectations...
Do you know that an average Singaporean complain at least 3 times a day? (i think i said it before)
Are you guilty of it?

He said that A human's mind can turn heaven into hell or hell into heaven.

You may ask, how do i become a worhipper then?
It is when you close your eyes and zoom out...zoom out to see the larger picture...zoom out to see how fortunate you are as compared to others and not focus on the tiny little details that causes you to complain...

There are several things that you can plan and schedule...
like mon you are going to do what, tues do what, wed do what...etc.
However, there is one thing that you cannot plan.
And that is trails from God..
you cannot say...ok, i am free on thurs like this time, so God you can test me here, at this timing...
God can place situations in your life to test whether you are a worshipper or a complainer.
So you must always be prepared...
But there is one thing that i wanna tell you...
is that people are watching...
your friends, family members are watching how you react to certain situations...
Are you ready?

We always talk about the need to follow Jesus...follow the ways of him...
The story about Jesus multiplying 5 loaves and 2 fishes to feed the 5 thousand ppl, Jesus thank God for the food and it increased in numbers..
Thanking God unleashes supernatural powers and it is also the key to a miracle..

There are 4 kinds of prayer
1) Mercy
2) Petition-request for help
3) intercession-when you interceed for someone else
4) Thanksgiving
The last one unlocks the presence of God..
When you thank God, it unleashes miraculous powers into your life!
Always always look towards God in every situation you are in, and you will find joy!

Are you going to be a typical Singaporean, always complaining?
or a worshipper? someone that is different.
